Enable Two-Factor Authentication on Your Hosting Account
Password security isn’t enough anymore. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of protection, making it much harder for attackers to break into your hosting account.
What Is 2FA?
2FA requires something you know (your password) and something you have (your phone or app). Even if your password is stolen, your account stays safe.
How to Enable 2FA in the Client Area
- Log in to your Client Area.
- Go to Security Settings.
- Click Enable Two-Factor Authentication.
- Scan the QR code with an app like Google Authenticator or Authy.
- Enter the verification code to activate.
Best Practices
- Always keep backup codes in a safe place.
- Use an authenticator app rather than SMS if possible.
- Enable 2FA on email accounts and CMS logins too.
Next Steps
Combine 2FA with strong passwords and regular backups for maximum security.
